Abstract

This study aims to overcome the problem of unique patterns of inter-religious relations in implementing tolerance in the village of Juwana. The research design uses a qualitative approach that emphasizes extracting field data based on social settings as well as several supporting documents. This study involved religious leaders in the village of Juwana. Data obtained by creative and participatory interviews and field observations. Analyze data with the Miles & Huberman Interactive Analysis model. The final result shows the attitude and behaviour of the community in placing a value system that becomes a social reality, not related to the realm of aqidah of a particular religion. The community value system becomes the basis for formulating or shaping social ethics in the interaction of daily life. The factors that influence the preservation of religious tolerance are the responsibility of all levels of society to maintain it. Community leaders engage in an intensive and constructive positive dialogue between community groups to increase mutual trust. This research recommends to all parties to be able to make a reference source in formulating policies related to community harmony and tolerance.
