Burnout Among Isabela State University Faculty: An Assessment

Abstract

The   purpose   of   this   study   was   to assess incidence of Burnout among the  faculty of    Isabela State University System. It also aimed to identify the level of burnout experienced by university faculty members and its significant relationship to age, gender, civil status, and other profile variables. This study is descriptive in nature and it involved 256  faculty members randomly selected in the University System.Results revealed that among the levels of burnout, emotional exhaustion is high; depersonalization is  low ,while sense of personal accomplishment is high.  As revealed by the result of Pearson product correlation, there is no significant relationship between burnout and profile variables. Results of the analysis of variance further revealed that there is no significant difference between burnout and campuses.
