Abstract

Digital images, being widely used in various fields, require a proper security framework to ensure that the data is protected. In this paper, we propose an image encryption scheme based on a coupled Logistic Sine map and Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) operations. First, we perform the pixel level confusion using the coupled chaotic system. We then generate a DNA matrix using DNA encoding rules. We modify the key for the Chaotic system and use coupled chaotic system to generate a DNA level permutation matrix further. We use a dynamic substitution box on the permutated matrix and then use it along with another coupled chaotic system to undergo the XOR operation. We then decode the matrix using DNA decoding rules and obtain the Cipher image. The performance of the purposed technique is then analyzed.
