A NOVEL APPROACH TO IMPROVE AIRCARFT SAFETY USING BEHAVIOURAL ANALYSIS
Abstract
Today in the current global scenario the air transport/aviation is playing a major role in the Migration of the people across the world and transfer of the goods too. We propose a system for alcohol detection and drowsiness detection by behavioral analysis of the pilot while aircraft cruise. This paper says that there is a high possible chance of the pilot being alcoholic before the takeoff of the aircraft which is danger to fly, with the MQ3[Alcohol detection sensor],Heart beat sensor, Respiratory rate sensor, will detect the alcohol levels[1] and will alert the cockpit and the concerned authority will be aware of the consequence of the scheduled pilot behavior, While on cruise of the aircraft we are detecting the drowsiness of the pilot apart from the controlled rest through pi cameras, Image processing, by analyzing the eyes movements throughout the cruise, if found Drowsy the cockpit Alarm will start to buzz through High alarm buzzer and a high pressure a air swap will be done on the face to wake up the pilot , voice module will ask certain question to verify pilot is awake, Meanwhile an alert E-mail will be sent to DGCA which will be helpful to keep the track record of the pilot and its licensing, in-turn keeping passenger safety at the highest priority specifically for passengers travelling international or long flight.
