PUBLIC OPINION ON STANDARD OF GOVERNMENT BUSES IN CHENNAI

Abstract

Most of the Indian population utilise the road transport particularly buses for their travel. . It is the duty of the government to provide a quality bus service for all the people. With the increase in mobilization of people from rural areas to urban areas. To achieve this common persons use bus service. Also for internal transportation bus service is utilized. In this regard the current research aims to find whether the government buses satisfy the transportation expectations of the society in a cheaper prices. The researcher followed empirical research with convenient sampling method. A survey was conducted having 200 respondents from Koyambedu bus stand in chennai. The results observed from the analysis is that the government provide service at a cheaper price but failed to fulfill the quality expected by the people.
