Abstract

A new proposed approach based on fuzzy logic aims to select the effective routing algorithm with robustness in mobile wireless sensor network (MWSN). The major requirements in MWSNs for designing enhanced routing protocols in real time scenarios by considering limitations like battery power and life span of mobile nodes.  Implementing fuzzy rules for electing cluster heads from the set mobile nodes based on eligibility criterion of mobile nodes.  The initial process is selecting the cluster heads form the group of mobile node within the transmission region by maintaining greater power levels. Another level deals the cluster head selection and it cooperates with other mobile nodes in the network for its lifetime by utilizing the proposed routing algorithm. The proposed routing algorithm named as Fuzzy Based Hierarchical Cluster Routing (FBHCR) protocol.  The proposed algorithm has implemented and simulated in the MATLAB environment with improved the performance up to 75% in compared to the existing LEACH (low energy adaptive clustering hierarchy) algorithm.
