Abstract

 Over-the-top services, also known as OTT, refer to a modern-day technology, where the end-user can watch their favourite movies or TV series at their convenience, directly on any digital device. Being grown up in a time when we were forced to watch the series and movies based on the timings as decided by the broadcasting company, many of us missed out on our interest if we were occupied with something else during that time span. So, for the research, we will understand the trend among millennials. We would then see how it compares to global trends. This research would give us better insights about the development of OTT space in future and the scope that is lays. Another advantage what OTT offers over traditional satellite or cable subscription is that, there is no initial setup cost required and also the monthly subscription rates are way cheaper. So, with the combination of flexibility and pricing, and also low data cost has been an enabler to more and more people choosing and shifting to OTT. To streamline the research, let us understand the trend of OTT usage among millennials, specifically those who are pursuing their Post-Graduation Studies across various continents.
