Abstract

Foreign Direct investment is of growing importance for world economic development. Indian markets are seen as a major source of investment as India is a developing country and it stands firm in the global financial turmoil. India has emerged as a destination for FDI. With FDI becoming a significant component of investment, some accounting practice are lagged behind international norms. This study directed towards detecting the growth of inflow in foreign direct investment. The study also highlights FDI inflows in various sectors. The research is based on Secondary data which have been collected through various reports of the Ministry of Commerce , The Government of India, The Reserve Bank of India. Semi log growth equation model has been employed to find out the annual compound growth rates (ACGR).
