Effects of Workforce Diversity on Organizational Innovation in Indian IT sector

Abstract

Diversity in the workforce represents similarities and dissimilarities among various individuals on the basis of parameters like age, gender, sexuality, culture, religion, race, color, caste, and physical abilities and disabilities, etc. This study intends to understand the relationship that exists between various diversity parameters like gender, age & duration of industry experience, and organizational innovation in the Indian Information and Technology sector. With scarce research done on the effects of diversity on organizational innovation, the intent behind this research is to understand if the diversity of a team has an impact on the level of innovation the organization achieves. The intent behind this study is to explore the relation between diversity on different parameters and the organizational innovation. The research is based on secondary research of existing literature as well as primary data collected from different IT companies in India.
