The author has reviewed the existing body of work on the topics of Learning and Development, Massive Open Online Courses, and e-Learning. Through separate questionnaires, users and companies are to be surveyed to derive correlation among the following variables: Number of Courses taken on MOOC,  number of courses taken offline/prior to MOOC, percentage course completion on MOOC, employee participation, change in employee involvement in case of shift from offline to MOOCs for learning programs. The paper will provide an insight on whether or not Massive Open Online Courses have been able to engage employees in companies’ Learning and Development ideas and initiatives. The findings covered by this paper should assist Human Resource or Learning and Development professionals to do a deep dive into their learning plans and how the use of online platforms is affecting the participation of their employees in the learning programs.
