Proper Harmonic Analysis Of Load Current Of A Single Phase 5-Level Voltage Source Inverter Using The Hysteresis Current Control Technique
Abstract
This paper proposed the proper harmonic analysis of the load current of a single-phase cascaded hybrid 5-level voltage source inverter with different DC voltage sources of 230V and 115V is presented. The control signals for this hybrid multilevel inverter (MLI) are executed and brought into implementation using the Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) technique and the Hysteresis Current Control (HCC) technique. The harmonic analysis is done using the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), using MATLAB and the concept of windowing is implemented for proper harmonic analysis. The proposed topology offers a technique for limiting the total harmonic distortion (THD) of the output voltage and the current of the inverter. A switching scheme has been designed and used for modulation control and to deliver a five level voltage which has been verified using the MATLAB simulation.
