Abstract

The main idea of this project is to develop navigation system by arranging nodes of RF tags as a network forming a complete system which can be used for locating places at a range of three meters. RF tags can be used to write information with the help of RF writer. RF tags are very cheap and does not require power as they us low power oscillator to generate RF waves which carry information about the data written in it by the writer. The location details can be given as information to the RF tags and placed in check points. This RF tags can be read by RF reader which is present in our Smart Gloves which receives the information about the location and processes the information into voice which can be made audible to blind people using inbuilt audio signal processor which make them navigate easily. Thissystem is mainly developed as blind people are not familiar with new location where RF tags can guide them. GPS navigation system cannot be used within indoors as they are long ranged while RF tags are short ranged and are cost effective so they can help lead blind people a better place to live in this rapidly digitalizing world.
