Impact Of Schedule Management Plan In Project Management Effectiveness Using Structural Equation Modelling In Indian It Industries

Abstract

Every contemporary organization today is faced with multiple complexities in its internal and external environment. In order to manage this dynamism, there is a growing need to manage all the available resources in such a way that the final product is not only cost-efficient but is also delivered timely. In information technology companies, there is a requirement of managing all the projects efficiently by following an appropriate schedule management plan. This study aimed to determine the impact of schedule management planning on project effectiveness by examining the perception of 189 IT projects employees of Bengaluru region. The SEM (Structural Equation Modelling) analysis showed that as schedule management plan leads to timely completion of the project, appropriate allocation of resources, improving the quality of the final completed project, and monitoring of the entire working process, it significantly contributes in improving the effectiveness of project management.
