Abstract

White onion is very widely used in the world. During the use of the onion we throughout onion tunic, these waste material from agriculture or the household. This waste material has been working as very good adsorbent for the elimination of Basic dye such as Methylene blue under different conditions by batch process. In this onion tunic are collected dried and grinded into the fine powder. This Powder used as adsorbent in the dye adsorption under different condition such as concertation, temperature, dose and solution pH. The adsorbent prepared was characterized by FTIR, SEM etc. This onion tunic base adsorbent shows excellent adsorption property, for the removal of the Methylene Blue dyes very fast. This is one of the best promising adsorbents from the agricultural and household waste.
