Abstract

The goal of current work is to study thermal and hydraulic analysis of aluminum oxide based nanofluids in the plate type heat exchanger (PHE). The performance is evaluated at the different nanoparticles concentration i.e. 0.1%, 0.2%, and Reynolds number 2500 – 7000 at different nanofluids temperature. The heat transfer performance is enhanced upto 24% with reference to base fluid. The heat transfer performance improved with increase in nanoparticle, fluid inlet temperature and fluid flow rate also. The study has proved the heat transfer can be improved with use of nanofluids.
