Age Group Estimation and Gender Recognition using Facial Features: A Critical Review Study

Abstract

Recognizing the utmost facial disparities, like identifying the gender as well as age group is widely considered. This particular paper considers giving a procedure for estimating the gender as well as age group by means of facial characteristics. In this process different stages like Pre-processing, Feature Extraction, normalization and categorization of face are involved. The symmetrical characterization of face images such as eye to nostril distance, wrinkle geography, right eye to left eye distance, face angle, eye to lip as well as eye to chin distance has been measured.  The age categorization depends upon the information regarding texture as well as shape.  Range of the age has been categorized in a dynamic way based upon the group counts used in the algorithm of SVM classifier. The present review research us utilized in forecasting of the gender classification, future faces, as well as detecting based upon the different faces.
