Abstract

Fiber is a type of natural or synthetic substance which used significantly more than it is extensive. Fibers are often used in the manufacture of other materials.  Some examples of natural fiber are cotton, wool, jute, coir, etc. Some examples of synthetic aggregates are rayon, nylon; polyester etc. in this report, there is a discussion on coir fiber (coconut fiber). Coir fiber is used as a natural fiber which is take out from the husk of coconut shells and widely it used for different purposes such as brushes, doormats, Mattresses.Aggregate is the hardest natural substance which is obtained by the crushing of quarry rocks and to make concrete. It is available in distinct sizes, depending upon the crushing of aggregates as per the requirement of the project. In this work, cement, aggregates and water have mixed up to compose a concrete. Basically, two types of aggregates mixed as i.e. natural fine aggregates and natural coarse aggregate. Now a day, research conducted on coir fiber carry out the experiments of the concrete, which will be further utilized for coir fiber, to expand the uniqueness of their sample.  A Fiber Reinforced Concrete (FRC) is a dense containing lean material that builds its basic respectability. It comprisessmallisolated strands that are consistently appropriated and arbitrarily situated. Likewise, the character of fiber strengthened solid changes with the shifting cements, fiber materials, conveyance, and densities. On the technical frontage, in this report the coir fiber is used in different percentage and is tested and analyzed in concrete technology laboratory. In this work aggregate crushing value, aggregate impact value, aggregate abrasion value, fineness modulus, flakiness index value, elongation index value, compressive strengthvalue, flexural strength of specimens and split tensile strength have been taken for fiber reinforced concrete. Los angles abrasion testing machine is used for the aggregate abrasion value. Aggregate impact testing machine is used for the aggregate impact value. Aggregate crushing test setup is used for the aggregate crushing value. Sieve analysis is used for the fineness modulus. Thickness gauge with different set of sieves are used for the flakiness index value. Length gauge with different set if sieves are used for elongation index value. The purpose of Compression testing machine is to determining the compressive strength. Flexural testing machine is used for the flexural strength. Split tensile testing apparatus is used for finding the tensile strength.
