Abstract

The strength and ductility of the concrete is profoundly subject to the containment level given by the lateral reinforcement.  In this work extra confinement is given by utilizing GI welded wire mesh which was wrapped inside and outside the outskirts of reinforcement cage. The various specimen of beam were cast and tested in flexural testing machine to decide the failure criteria and maximum load carrying capacity of beams. These beams were tested for two point flexure test and load deflection curve were observed. Confining beams gave better outcomes. The examination of ultimate load Vs deformation and stress Vs strain for the specimens was determined. The maximum load carrying capacity of different beam specimens under same deflection in beam was also examined.
