Experimental Study of Shear Parameters of Clayey Soil with Addition Eggshell Powder

Abstract

Use of new material in place of conventional soil improvement material gain popularity in researchers and engineers to decrease the cost of improvement. Without Soil one cannot envision any structure plan, due to this in civil engineering soil improvement is an essential part and also various methods were invented by the researchers. Cohesive soils have good plastic properties this is the main reason due to which there is decrease in shear with slight increase in water content. Currently India in facing huge problem of environmental contamination and health issues due to massive generation of waste in country. Successful use of these materials for construction as well as for soil improvement can solve problem of India and other countries to minimize the effect of waste on environment. For the same in current investigation, researchers use egg shell powder combine with soil to find the effect of eggshell powder on shear parameters on clayey soil. study the shear parameters of clayey soil. Egg shell powder 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 20 % were added by weight of samples.
