A Comparison of Lifestyle in Employed Women and Housewives and the Factors affecting it
Abstract
The present study compares lifestyle in employed women and housewives and its effective factors in Andimeshk city. The statistical population of the study was based on 63082 employed women and housewives, of which 380 women were selected as equal to 190 employed women and 190 housewives. The causal-comparative research method and the lifestyle questionnaire from Kern’s Life Style Scale (1982) were used. The research results indicated that there was a significant difference in lifestyle between the employed and unemployed women; there was a significant difference between the dimensions of lifestyle of both employed and unemployed women;. Finally, the results of the tests indicated that employed women had a higher frequency in modern life than unemployed women. Although these differences were small, they were statistically significant.
