GC-Ms studies for grains extract from genus Hordeum L.
Abstract
Phytochemical analysis of grains for 7 species of the genus Hordeum (H.bulbosum L., H.distichon L., H.geniculatum All., H.glaucum Steud., H.leporinum Link, H.spontaneum C. Koch and H.vulgare L.) are studied by using GC-MS technique. The analytical survey has revealed the presence of 501 components in all species studied. The highest number of components recorded in H. bulbosum while the smallest number in H.spontaneum. n-Hexadecanoic acid is the only component partook between all species studied, some components confined to specific species while others are partake between others.
