Does Entrepreneurship Attitude Mediate the Effect of Entrepreneurship Education on Young Generation in Indonesia's Intention of Entrepreneurship?

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of entrepreneurial attitudes as a mediating variable for the effect of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial intentions. The method of study uses an expanded survey with data collection techniques through questionnaires. The population in this study is the young generation of Indonesia, represented by students who have received entrepreneurship education. The sampling technique uses judgment sampling. The collected data is then analyzed using descriptive statistics and path analysis. The results showed that entrepreneurial attitudes as perfect mediation (full mediation) influence of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial intentions. This finding provides the implication that in order to increase entrepreneurial institutions among young people, entrepreneurship education must be implemented. With entrepreneurship education, it can change the mindset of the younger generation to create new jobs. This condition will be more effective if supported by a positive attitude from the younger generation in entrepreneurship.
