Students often struggle to master the multiplication fact. This research intended to examine the implementation of the Magic Finger Teaching Method (MFTM), identify problems in multiplication fact learning and observe students’ perceptions of MFTM. The study design involved a quasi-experiment study with pre-tests and post-tests, multiplication fact spreadsheet and questionnaires. A sum of 70 Standard Five students from the National Primary School in Johor Bahru was selected as respondents of the study. The data were analysed using descriptive statistics. The results revealed that students face problems with the concept of multiplication concept and multiplication skills. The conclusions of the survey showed that students have a high level of perception towards MFTM for the dimensions of interest, self-confidence, and persistence in learning multiplication fact. The outcomes contributed to students, parents, teachers and the Ministry of Education Malaysia in terms of awareness, engagement, preparation and implementation in the context of the diversity of teaching and learning resources and the appropriateness of teaching and learning support materials.
