A DIRECT PROOF OF CONVERGENCE OF EULER PRODUCT FOR Ld(1)
Abstract
A simple proof is given for the convergence of the Euler product
= discriminant of a quadratic field. The argument holds
also for s = 1 + it. The mean of is deduced to be 0.
