Abstract

This article deals with the advancements in solar battery charging system. In this, PV panel can charge the battery as well as supply power to the load. The research work comprises of developing both hardware and software of the system. This proposed tracker designed to estimate the voltage and current at maximum power point tracked (MPPT) by the PV panel. The Fuzzy Logic controller has been used to track the maximum power that is available from solar panel. A battery has been connected in parallel to the panel that acts as storage of power when sufficient power is not available from sun to drive the load. This battery has been connected using a bidirectional converter. The battery provides constant supply to the load and also gets charged simultaneously while the load is being driven by the panel.
