Exploring Parents’ Perceptions of Mobile Technology Usage for Education

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore parents’ perceptions in using mobile technology for education. The study was conducted in a primary school located at Jepara,Central Java, Indonesia. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires through purposive sampling. The data were analyzed by ANOVA. The findings showed that parents gave positive response toward using messaging applications. The effectiveness of mobile technology usage in teaching and learning process is recommended to be investigated in the future study.
