The Predictive Role of Psychological Well-Being on Academic Performance of Senior Secondary School Students
Abstract
The affirmative psychological approach reflected the well-being chiefly as the existence of wellness rather than the lack of illness.Happiness can be defined as the insight of one’s own nature and potential. By their nature, a man desires to be happy. Comprehensive goal of all human wishes and passion is happiness. The motive of the research was to scrutinize predictive role of all psychological well beings’ dimensions on academic performance of students. The sample of this study was 360 senior secondary students. The Ryff scale of 42 items was used for this study. The result of the study indicate that there is significant but small relationship between total psychological well being and academic performance of senior secondary school students (r=.130, P value=0.014).The conclusion of this study is thatPsychological well-being and all its components is > 0.05. So they are not playing role in academic achievement of students.
