Scholastic Stress and Perceived Control for Under Graduate Students

Abstract

The main purpose of the study is to examine the relationship between Scholastic Stress and Perceived Control for Undergraduate Students. Students are known to experience stress and challenges as they continue their education in college.Some students are not responsible for their scholastic development and fail to transfer from high school to college. More specifically, the study seeks to examine the influence of perceived control (the perception that one has control) among college students. Goetz, Luedtke, Nett, Keller, and Lipnevich (2013).  A sample of 150 Undergraduate Students was taken from Arts and Science Colleges in Tiruvallur district.A discussion of the study's key findings, educational implications, and recommendation is presented.
