MANET: Application, Challenges, Characteristics, Protocols Design Goals and Issues

Abstract

Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) is one of the latest technology and it usage and benefits is increasing day-by day.by using the MANET the autonomous network can be formed with the nodes and it is wireless network. The users in the network can be any wireless devices. Any devices can be joined in the network and start communication or data transfer. The MANET network does not contain backbone infrastructure. Due to high random mobility of users and the any devices can connect in network the protocol designing for layers of MANET network is very challenging. In this paper we have discussed about the ad hoc network, application of MANET and provides research on the Protocols Design Goals, Issues and Challenges.
