Abstract

Concrete based structures are highly limited to the storey height, due to high brittle nature and more time consuming process. In that scenario steel structures were best suited structures in high rise buildings and can be less time consuming. In this study a 6 floor steel structure is considered with a floor plan of 9m   . Steel structure is analysed for push-over analysis and time history analysis. Response spectrum is also analysed to compare the behaviour of structure. E-Tabs software is used for the analysis and for designing of structure. A steel braced frame structure is designed in the study and analysed for above stated phenomenon. Inter storey drift and inter storey displacement is found out to predict behavior of structure.
