Preparation and Characterization of Non-expansive Rich-Belite Sulfoaluminate Cement
Abstract
Several types of sulfoaluminate cement having different characteristics are distinguished. The most variable are the rate of setting, hardening, the rate and total extent of expansion during the hydration. The aim of the present work was to prepare rich-belite sulfoaluminate cement in the laboratory from kaolin, limestone and natural gypsum and to study their hydration properties of cement pastes. The results show that the complete formation of cement phases were completed at 1225°C as well as the prepared cements were interactive, fast-hardening and hydraulic and present higher mechanical strengths at early ages.
