Exploring the Link between Emotional Intelligence and Real-World Readiness in Female Tertiary Students of Dubai
Abstract
Preparing students to take on the responsibilities after finishing their studies to succeed on their own should be the aim of higher education institutes of United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the 21st-century, specially the one which are taking professional courses. To achieve this aim, the students should be having some skills which include learning skills like critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication and life skills like flexibility, leadership, initiative, productivity, and social skills. These skills together are important to get adjusted in the world after finishing the academic life in the 21st-century and therefore known as 21st-century skills. This study explores its relation with the 21st-century skills and hence with the real- world readiness of the students.
