Abstract

Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) is an emergent technology has offered many contributions in healthcare applications such as therapeutic levels, monitoring, and the diagnosing. In these networks a variety of sensors are attached on clothes or on the body or even entrenched beneath the skin.  But, WBANs facades numerous problems while transmitting the patient health records such as security issues, less efficiency, high communication problems in encryption and decryption. These networks are prone to eavesdropping, middleman attacks, impersonation, replaying attacks compared to the wired networks. Keeping in view of all these, the wireless sensor networks are required a very secure communication in wake of them. The main aim of this paper is to augment the protection level of data communication by considering the accessibility of energy at sensor nodes. The proposed system consists of a hybrid Advanced Encryption Scheme which provides a straightforward, quick and soaring cryptographic vigor of data security. The outcome of this scheme illustrate that the planned one  augment the encryption of the data file by more than 22% compared to the others and also the proposed one is 14% quicker in encrypting data file and decreases the energy consumption by 39 % compared to the present solutions. The proposed scheme ponders on dipping the energy burning up in WBAN and escalating the cryptographic strength to the system by using the hybrid symmetric and asymmetric algorithms. Thus, this study provides an competent scheme to improve the security for real-time data transmission in telemedicine. In this paper, three different modes are performed to secure the patient health information. The patient health information is split into two forms such as personal information and sensor information. Primarily, the sensor data is secured with the help key pairing Modified RSA (M-RSA) algorithm to validate the user to provide with an authenticated access. After getting the information from the sensors it is encrypted with the Modified Advanced Encryption Standard (M-AES) algorithm. The proposed Hybrid encryption scheme performance is analyzed with the existing cryptographic techniques in terms of key agreement, security strength, Encryption time, Input size and the throughput. Hence, the proposed Hybrid encryption scheme outperforms the other existing techniques.
