Abstract

Software Defined Networking (SDN) is a new architecture of network that has been developed as a large change to facilitate and improve network management. Regarding on SDN is being Open Standard, researchers have designed new initiatives and protocols for simplifying and flexible network architecture that the designed protocol (OpenFlow) provide the SDN concept for controllers and switches. SDN can enhance intelligence and network security. The data control section is transferred from the hardware to the network virtual software layer, mean that SDN architecture separated the control layer and data layer, which results in accurate network control. In this paper, we need to define some prerequisite information and fact about software defined network and features that enhance network security and doing an experimental of SDN Opendaylight controller to drop packet based on source IP and Mac Address in the Network that the controller is simulated by using the Mininet simulation software.
