Detecting Deceitful Twitter Accounts using Machine Learning

Abstract

The social network, a pivotal part of  life is afflicted by online impersonation and phony accounts. Nowadays most of the people hold accounts on Online Social Media Platforms (OSMPs). Phony accounts frequently spam fair users, posting irrelevant or illegal content. Phony profiles are mostly used by the interlopers to carry out malefic activities such as identity loots and secrecy intrusion in Online Social Media Platforms (OSMPs). Hence identifying an account is factual or phony is one of the critical issues in OSMPs. Here proposed the machine learning classification algorithm like Support Vector Machine algorithm and also discussed the successful detection of phony identities especially in Twitter created by humans on OSMPs.
