Abstract

In today’s hyper-competitive education industry, integrating and using ICT tools is being viewed by the top management of these institutions as a panacea for all the ills faced by them and as a vehicle to fast pace their growth in this market. The responsibility of this adoption and integration of the technology falls upon the shoulders of the faculty members of different disciplines, who, may or may not, be ready to do so. This might be their inability, or it might be their unwillingness. In this paper, the author has tried to understand the reasons for this inability or the unwillingness, since the subjects, in this case, know that adoption of ICT tools leads to brighter prospects in this industry. Using a convenience sampling method, and collecting the data through an online questionnaire, using, primarily, the Likert scale, and subjecting the data to the analysis of variance, the author looks for the difference in ability and perception of different departments in using the information communication tools in their respective teaching pedagogy.
