Study on Social Mobility from Selected Professions in Hyderabad

Abstract

The change of professions from one generation to other is called Social mobility. Social mobility of selected professions in Hyderabad is studied in the present paper. For this study we collected primary data and analyzed the data using Markov chain models. We evaluated the stationary distribution to study behavioral pattern of social mobility in long run. Our findings are presented in this paper.
