Addressing the Issues & Challenges of Internet of Things Using Blockchain Technology

Abstract

The term ‘SMART’ has evolved from being a single-dimension word to a multi-dimensional concept. It occurs in diverse fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Home Automation, Intelligent Systems, Data Analytics, Vocabulary, etc. In the combined field of the superset Artificial Intelligence, its subset Machine Learning and the Internet of Things, the word smart deals with the Homes, Cities, World, and Everything in a SMART manner. With the arrival and development of this smart technology, IoT has emerged as a powerful opponent to many industries and has the potential for growth in the upcoming future. In IoT, the primary issue that deals with the security concern is the ‘Central Administration’ that deals with the information exchange and the authenticity factor. The different issues of IoT and its Blockchain assumptions are addressed in this paper. The contribution of Blockchain Technology is also addressed in this paper.
