Development of Tele-Stethoscope Connected to an Android Mobile

Abstract

Auscultation using stethoscope is primary step to diagnose diseases. In this paper design of the tele-stethoscope connected with android mobile is discussed. The data can be transmitted through wireless transmission using GSM module. A microphone is used to capture the heart sound. The signal is then processed and amplified to play using the speaker. Heart sounds are processed, sampled and transmitted wirelessly using GSM module so that multiple doctors can do further diagnosis. The approachability of the health service is frequently criticized by patients since the transfer of their clinical conditions to healthcare centers remains problematic. Patients equipped with tele-stethoscope can self-monitor their health in any place and can consult with a remote doctor.
