Abstract

New technologies are evolving to make human life as an efficient one by reducing human effort and introducing automation systems in day to day activities. We propose a Smart health monitoring and alerting system for physically challenged and elderly people. This system gives security, and comfort for the elderly people and people with disabilities. In this proposed model an IoT device is used to monitor the body temperature, heartbeat, movement and the data is sent to the cloud where the data analysis is done. Through the data analysis the abnormal body temperature, heartbeat, blood pressure, continuous glucose monitor and motion is detected and compared with the health records of the monitored people, and if any medical support is needed, the system sends an alert to the authorized persons. Using this system, users can monitor their health from anywhere and anytime using internet compatible devices, especially mobile phones and also the system predicts whether the patient tends to face cardiac arrest or not through machine learning algorithms.
