Abstract

Application Layer attacks are constantly targeted by new techniques of distributed denial of service attacks (DDoS) causing service disruption and considerable financial damage. The DDoS is consumes the partial energy of nodesas well asinduces drop of data packets in anetwork. A DDoS attack initiates a corresponding attack by flooding the receiver nodes with fake requests, hencedraining theirresources, alsodriving them to negate service to authentic nodes. To solve these problems in this paper, Fuzzy and Energy Threshold based Application Layer Attack Detection. The method able to identifying DDoS attacker then prevents the DDoS attacker from network. Here, the fuzzy rule is used to detect the DDoS attacker and energy threshold value is confirm the DDoS attacker and compromised node in the network. The results demonstrate that this approach can efficientlynoticeas well asprotect againstDDoS attacks.
