Abstract

VANETs (Vehicular Ad-hoc Network Systems) are one of the type of MANET (Mobile Ad-hoc Network) Systems which is used to provide contact between nearby vehicles. VANET is used to warn drivers about collisions, road conditions and safety-related information. It also allows drivers to manage traffic by finding the best route to their destination. Because of these unusual properties, VANETs are more likely to manipulate attackers and decrease the network's normal efficiency. The most serious problem is the BHA(Black-hole-attack) in the Vehicle Ad-Hoc Network. During the BHA(Black-hole-attack), the attacker node that wants node packets to be interrupted, get use the routing protocol to establish a false fact that the node has the shortest path. In this paper we introduce the intrusion detection system for minimizing the negative impact of black hole attack and comparing/analysis their results. Several parameters like throughput, pdf and end-to-end delay are used for analysis and result of comparisons are presented.
