Abstract

Cloud computing provides broad solutions for running large applications using resources on request using multi cloud infrastructure and pay-per-use legislation. Businesses societies are selecting cloud computing platforms for their business workflow applications. A big challenge of cloud service providers is to reduce operating costs and makespan in the cloud of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). The existing cost control and makespan minimization approaches are developed for conventional application that cannot be used for cloud-based computing systems. However, additional important service quality indicators that are of critical concern in the scheduling of workflows, such as reliability and resource utilization. This paper discusses the traditional cost optimization and planning of workflows in IaaS clouds and proposes a new planning framework for Multi-Objective Fuzzy based Cloud Scheduler for Streaming Data workflows. The simulation results show that in most situations our algorithm can achieve substantially better solutions compared to the existing scheduling algorithms for better optimization.
