Fruit Grading and Deep Learning Algorithm – A Review

Abstract

Fruit is an important food for healthy life. Fruit is considered as rich product of agriculture in terms of nutrition. It is highly essential to maintain the quality of fruits throughout the supply chain from the time of harvest to delivery of the product to the end users.  The traditional method that are used for fruit grading is time consuming , costly and requires human expertise. With the advancement in technology like deep learning cost effective and non-destructive methods are preferred over traditional methods. The objective of study is to explore the deep learning techniques applied in determining the quality of fruit and its grading.
