Efforts to Prevent Radical Understanding in Islamic Campuses Through the Moderate Fiqh Approach
Abstract
The problem examined in this study is the effort to prevent radical understanding that grows and develops in the Islamic tertiary environment through the Moderate Fiqh approach. This research is a literature review using the documentation method in finding data. After conducting in-depth research, steps can be used to prevent the spread of radical understanding, including Giving students an understanding of the attitude of Tawasuth (middle attitude is not too extreme), tawazun (balanced attitude in everything), I'tidal (upright attitude straight in the truth) and tasamuh (tolerant attitude) in carrying out religious law, Giving understanding to students that fellow Muslims are brothers. The differences that occur between the Imams of the school should not be sharpened, but students must be given an understanding that the differences that occur are grace, Campaigning ukhuwwah Islamiyah and massive anti-radicalism to students, awakening and healing students who have been exposed to radical understanding, and collaborating with organizations moderate Islamic community and government in the fight against radicalism.
