Abstract

Soil Salinization being one of the major consequences of irrigation, constraints vegetation and leads to land degradation. It occurs dominantly in arid and semi-arid regions which are with low rainfall, poor quality of ground water, thus recommending  for proper leaching practices. Hence soil testing takes an eminent phase in precision agriculture as it supports the farmer in maintaining soil health for maximum crop yield. Quantifying and assessing soil constituents further enables the generation of soil spectral signature, and thus to frame a strategy to maintain soil health by balancing the major, minor and other nutrients in soil for crop yield optimization.
