Investigating The Relationship Between Teacher Effectiveness And Teacher Empowerment Of Secondary School Teachers

Abstract

The research paper was planned to study the connection of teacher empowerment and teacher
effectiveness of secondary school teachers. 11 government schools were selected through a convenience
sampling method and 100 urban government secondary teachers were selected through a simple random
method. Teacher effectiveness was measured by the Teacher Effectiveness Scale of Dr. Umme Kulsum
and teacher empowerment was measured by the Teacher Empowerment Scale of Amit Kauts and Harveen
Kaur. Mean, S.D. and Pearson product moment correlation were adopted to compute the data. Study
finds that there exists a significant connection in between teacher empowerment and teacher
effectiveness. But overall no differences found.
