Development of Predictive Maintenance System of Motors

Abstract

Predictive maintenance is one of the latest maintenance techniques being adopted by the industries to
prevent the failures of critical equipment/s. Predictive maintenance predicts the failure thereby
helping the maintenance personnel to plan for maintenance in advance and also reduces the costs
done during preventive maintenance. In this paper, a model has been developed to perform predictive
maintenance algorithm that can advise and alert for future system failures by monitoring and
comparing with its current and historical parameters. This developed model uses Convolution Neural
Network (CNN) algorithm to build predictions and alerts the user of probabilistic failure, thereby
reducing the downtime and improving the overall equipment effectiveness.
