Abstract

Modern web applications face huge challenges of traffic and bottleneck issues. Load balancing
is one of the most widely employed methods for addressing such problems in multiple network
solutions. A hybrid solution for load balance in SDN with OpenFlow switches is introduced here in
this paper. The findings reveal that the server load balancing algorithm presented, is better than
static and dynamic load balancing algorithms. The research indicates that load balancing results in
reduced response times, better CPU utilization for server and enhanced task production while
increasing network capacity for final users. This paper presents a simulation analysis. The proposed
model is effective when compared to all other existing algorithms, which decreases Turn Around
Time (TAT) by 56.37% as compared to Weighted Round Robin(previous best algorithm) and to
present the evaluation of experiments based on the TAT, execution time and Wait time.
