A Proposed Model for Sales Data Warehouse Using Nine-step Design
Abstract
Sales are important for the survival of a company. Sales activities are the main activities and should
be managed properly. Strategic decisions about sales should be supported by the quality of the
information for the company does not suffer losses. For this reason, our paper proposed a model for
a sales data warehouse. The sales data warehouse is a data storage location that has a large size and
history. It can be used to provide support for company leaders to make better decisions. The model of
the sale data warehouse was developed based on existing sales data at PT. SPJ in Indonesia. In this
research, the model of the sale data warehouse was developed using a nine-step design method. Mode
of sales data warehouse sales has conducted by Pentaho data integration. The implementation of the
model proved that the model of a sales data warehouse can be used as an information source for
supporting the managers in making better decisions about sales strategies.
